Privacy Policy
Last updated: 15 July 2026
The short version: FoundersX is built local-first. Your founder profile, your evidence, your documents and your conversations with Atlas live in your browser, on your device — they are never sent to our servers, and we could not read them if we wanted to. We run no analytics, set no tracking cookies, and never sell data. The only personal data we ever hold is what you actively send us: a waitlist signup or an email.
1. Who we are
FoundersX (the successor to the Founders12 accelerator platform) is operated by [legal entity name], [registered address], [company registration number]. For anything in this policy, contact iokakushin@gmail.com.
2. The platform: your data stays on your device
When you use the FoundersX platform, everything you create — your Entrepreneurial Intelligence profile, evidence ledger, venture documents, KPIs, decisions, reflections and Atlas conversations — is stored in your browser's local storage on your own device. There are no accounts, no server-side database, and no copy we hold.
- We cannot see it. Nothing you type into the platform is transmitted to us.
- You can export everything at any time, with one click, from Settings (Constitution, Article V).
- You can delete everything at any time, from Settings — or by clearing your browser data.
- Sharing is your explicit choice. If you share parts of your profile with a mentor or investor, that is a scoped, time-bound, revocable grant that you create and control.
The flip side of ownership: because we hold no copy, we cannot recover your data if your device or browser storage is lost. Export regularly.
3. Optional AI features — your own key
Atlas's AI enrichment is optional and runs on an API key that you provide. If you add your own Anthropic API key in Settings, the text you choose to send goes directly from your browser to Anthropic — it never passes through our servers. Your key is stored only in your browser's local storage. Anthropic's processing of that data is governed by Anthropic's privacy policy. Without a key, the platform works fully offline with built-in reasoning.
4. What we do process, and why
- Hosting (Netlify). Our websites are served by Netlify, Inc. Like any web host, Netlify processes technical request data (IP address, browser type, pages requested) in server logs for security and delivery. Legal basis: legitimate interest in operating a secure website. See Netlify's privacy policy.
- Waitlist & contact. If you join a membership waitlist or email us, we receive what you send — typically your name, email address and chosen tier. We use it solely to contact you about that membership, store it in Netlify's form service and our mailbox, and delete it on request. Legal basis: steps prior to entering a contract, at your request.
- Payments (Stripe). Paid memberships are billed by Stripe, Inc. Stripe processes your payment details; we never see your full card number. We receive your name, email and subscription status to provide the membership. See Stripe's privacy policy.
- Fonts (Google Fonts). Our marketing pages load typefaces from Google Fonts, which means your browser requests font files from Google servers and transmits your IP address in doing so. The platform itself does not require this. See Google's privacy policy.
5. What we don't do
- No analytics or tracking scripts. We do not know who you are or how you use the platform.
- No tracking cookies. Local storage is used only as the product's own database, on your device.
- No advertising, no profiling, no data sales — ever. A platform whose product is trust does not trade in founder data; this is Article V of our constitution, not a preference.
6. Your rights
If you are in the EU/EEA or UK, you have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection under the GDPR, and the right to complain to your supervisory authority. For platform data these rights are self-service — the data is on your device, exportable and deletable by you alone. For the little we do hold (waitlist entries, correspondence, billing records), write to iokakushin@gmail.com and we will act within 30 days.
7. Retention
Waitlist entries are kept until the relevant membership opens and you have been contacted, or until you ask us to delete them. Correspondence is kept as long as needed to handle your request. Billing records are kept as long as tax law requires. Platform data is retained by you, on your device, for exactly as long as you choose.
8. Children
FoundersX is not directed at children and we do not knowingly process data of anyone under 16.
9. Changes
If this policy changes, the new version appears here with a new date. We will never quietly weaken the local-first commitments above; a change of that kind would be announced prominently before it took effect.
